Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh, 25 September 2021: The Women’s Network of the India Greens Party (iGPWN) today concluded the two-day gender equity programme for the women members of Chhattisgarh state in central India.
In a press release issued here after conclusion of the two-day offline training workshop on 24 and 25 September in Ambikapur, the iGPWN Convener Madhubanti Sen said the gender equity training programme was very fruitful for the women members of the Chhattisgarh state, and it helped the party women in the state create a network for themselves.
According to her, a total of 12 women members of the party from the places like Jaspur, Raipur, Ambikapur, Gariyaband, and Mahasamund of the state took part in the gender equity training.
The Chhattisgarh Women’s Network also appointed office bearers. They are: Ms Anuranjana Ekka (Convener), Ms Devendri Sahu (Deputy Convener), Ms Mamta Singh (Secretary), Ms Rabita Khalkho (Treasurer), Ms Saloni Kispotta (Deputy Treasurer), Ms Ajit Ekka (Fundraiser), Ms Priya Singh (Social Media Coordinator), Ms Manisha Lakra (Website Coordinator) Ms Lily Shanta Minj (Executive Member to IGPWN).
Those who trained the women member of Chhattisgarh included National Gender Equity Trainers Ms Madhubanti Sen and Ms Harpreet Kaur. International Trainers and speakers included Ms Michelle Sheather, Ms Jenny Mulkearns, and Ms Anita Nautiyal. Guest speaker was Ms Veena Kumari, Director at HRLN, Chandigarh.
The iGP Chhattisgarh Women’s Network plans to launch the She Will Run election campaign to field women candidates in the Chhattisgarh Assembly elections in 2023.
